Acoustic Systems

LRAD 2000X

This is the largest member of the LRAD family, designed for very long range strategic operations. It projects the sound at 162 dB to nominal ranges of more than 9 Kms.


LRAD 1000X-1000Xi

These are two variations of LRAD designed for operations with an effective range of 3.000 meters on the ground and 5.000 feet on flying helicopters. They project sound at 153 dB at maximum power, and they may be used in multiple military and civilian applications, including natural disasters and emergency rescues.



The LRAD-1000X is integrated to a servo mechanism set, operating remotely through an IP Network; thus, the operator does not need to be close to the equipment, making this the ideal solution for the installation in hard to access or unattended sites generally outdoors like ship turrets, lighthouses, industrial areas, airports, maritime platforms, port facilities and buildings.



This is an intermediate LRAD that operates effectively up to 2.000 meters, at a maximum of 149 dB. The combination of size, weight and range makes LRAD-500X a high mobility tool, easily installed in any platform in order to deliver voice instructions or messages under the most extreme operation conditions.



A compact and light solution, the LRAD-300X has a range over 1.000 meters despite its small size. It is typically installed in small boats and vehicles for mobile operation, and atop masts or poles.



This is the smallest device of the whole family. Designed to replace megaphones and high gain traditional loudspeakers, it provides and effective range of more than 600 m. Its compact design and light weight allow a single person to handle and operate the equipment safely.


Early Warning Stations

These are long range warning and fixed operation systems made by Hörmann in Germany, designed to deliver acoustic notification in case of emergency or routine duties where voice communication, signals and/or warnings in outdoor spaces and extended areas are needed.

A station is composed by a control cabinet and an arrangement of high capacity sirens, going from four to twenty units depending on the model. The system can store any amount of voice and warning prerecorded signals, activated and reproduced locally at the equipment, or in remote mode if a control center is installed. The stations can work independently or as a part of a local, regional or national network, since they are designed to be interconnected by virtually any means of communication.


Shooter Detector


Boomerang is a passive acoustic detector for supersonic bullets shot in the direction of the site where the sensor is installed, developed by Raytheon-BBN Technologies. It may be used for perimeter protection or on board moving vehicles traveling at speeds up to 90 Km/h. When the shots are detected, the equipment generates a warning indicating the direction the shot is coming from, distance and elevation. Each shot is visually registered in a warning panel that includes a watch type LED system, a loudspeaker and a liquid crystal screen.



This is the Boomerang´s light version, designed to be used by the soldier in field operations. The equipment is made up by a sensor placed over the soldier´s shoulder, a mini loudspeaker and a 2.5" visualization screen. The Warrior-X operates the same way as the Boomerang and the total weight for the set is only 160 grs., making it an invaluable tool to protect the most vulnerable asset from being impacted by enemy fire.


Cameras and night vision goggles

Electro-optics and infrared cameras

Controp has a wide variety of stabilized diurnal and nocturnal monitoring cameras, for operation under the most severe environmental conditions in helicopters, airplanes, UAVs, ships, boats and other vehicles. Depending upon the type of mission, there are short range (up to 1.000 m), medium range (3 to 5 km) and long range (7 to 10 km) cameras available.

The different tools for Remote Observation combine optical and infrared cameras with sophisticated movement detection systems; their simple operation and the capability to work unattended 24 x 7, make them invaluable tools for long range (up to 20 km) monitoring tasks.


Unmanned aircaft

Dominator UAV.  

This is one of the most mature and stable long range UAVs in the world market. Manufactured in Israel by Aeronautics, its design is based on the Diamond DA42 airplane (Austria), which has successfully completed more than 500.000 flight hours. The Dominator´s autonomy is 28 hours, and it can carry any COMMINT/ELINT payload up to 400 kg, with a cruise speed of 75 – 190 knots (140-350 km/h) up to a maximum altitude of 30.000 feet (9.100 m).


Aerostar UAV. 

Aerostar is a tactical type airplane (TUAV). It has reached the impressive record of 40.000 flight hours. It is the most reliable UAV in its category, and it also has the best cost/benefit relation of the market. It is ready to fly in a short period of time and its operation is completely intuitive thanks to the Human Machine Interface (HMI) that prevents the operator from incurring in the most common mistakes of non-manned flight. Aerostar operates at altitudes up to 18.000 feet (5.400 m), with an autonomy of more than 12 hours and a range up to 200 km (LOS) at speeds between 60 and 110 knots (112 to 200 km/h).


Orbiter 3 STUAS.  

It is a compact and light system for military, police and national security missions. The characteristics of this UAV, allow for cost effective non-manned missions in relation to bigger and heavier airplanes. The Orbiter-3 has a range of more than 100 km (LOS) and operates at a typical height between 1.000 and 3.000 feet (300 and 900 m) and speeds between 30 and 70 knots (55 and 130 km/h), with a 7 hours flight autonomy. It uses a parachute and an auto-inflatable air bag that smoothly deposit the equipment at preset coordinates for landing.



It is a light and compact mini-UAV designed for tactical operations; it is easy to operate and fast to deploy, which makes Orbiter an invaluable asset for the modern combat soldier. The operational altitude is between 500 and 2.000 feet (150 to 600 m) with speeds between 30 and 70 knots (55 to 130 km/h), and the range is determined by the control center antenna; there are models for 15, 30 and 80 kms. This UAV also lands using an airbag and parachute set, which can be replaced on the field.


Helicopters maintenance

Northwest Helicopters specializes in the maintenance and improvement of UH-1 helicopters since 1989. Its main product is the UH-1H Plus program, carried out at its facilities in Olympia (WA, USA). It primarily includes: engine upgrade or replacement (T53-L-703 configuration), modification of the tail cone with the BLR Strake Kit™ and BLR Fast Fin Kit™ units, installation of the Bell 209 type oil cooling ventilator, installation of the 212 intermediate gears, cabin upgrade for the operation of 1.800 horsepower engines, cabin avionic improvement and change of the rotor blades.


Maritime Surveillance

Australian Maritime Systems, AMS, has a huge portfolio of products related to maritime surveillance, including Automatic Identification Systems (AIS), Vessel Tracking Systems (VTS), radars, aids to navigation, meteorological equipment and sea level monitors, with the corresponding power and communications integration equipment.
